På gränsen mellan Florida och Alabama ligger The Flora-Bama Lounge and Package som är en ”world famous honkey tonk”. Kenny Chesneys andra singel från albumet The Big Revival som släpps 23 september heter just Flora-Bama och handlar om att bara ta det lugnt och ha det skönt på det berömda stället.
På sin hemsida beskriver Kenny historien bakom låten, som han skrivit tillsammans med David Lee Murphy; «The idea of a place where when you unplug, you can kick back, be with your friends and really enjoy the time. I love that the FloraBama is an actual place; but, it’s as much a state of mind… and being. When you listen past the details, the melody really brings that – and you can feel what I’m talking about.» Den 16 augusti spelar Kenny på något dom kallar Flora-Bama-Jama på stranden utanför baren. Där skulle jag gärna varit med!
