Seks måneder senere toppet Tammy Wynette listene igjen – denne gangen med “Stand By Your Man”, en låt som viste det stikk motsatte perspektivet. Den ble skrevet av Tammy selv sammen med produsent Billy Sherrill.

Bobby Braddock og Curly Putman skrev også klassikeren “He Stopped Loving Her Today” som George Jones fikk en kjempehit med i 1980. Curly Putman står også bak “Green, Green Grass of Home” – gjort kjent av Porter Wagoner (1965), videreført av Jerry Lee Lewis, og til slutt verdensberømt i Tom Jones’ versjon (1966).
