De nominerte til årets CMA Awards ble i dag offentliggjort.
«Country Music’s Biggest Night» ser ut til å bli et spennende program i år!
Året CMA Awards, som forøvrig er nummer 45 i rekken, går av stabelen i Nashville 9.november. For fjerde gang vil Brad Paisley og Carrie Underwood være programledere.
Jason Aldean er for første gang nominert i hele fem kategorier, inkludert blant annet Entertainer of the Year, årets mannlige vokalist og Årets Album for My Kinda Party.
CMA’s regjerende Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley, er nominert i fem kategorier – Entertainer of the Year, Årets mannlige vokalist, Årets Album for «This is Country Music», Musical Event og Årets musikkvideo for «Old Alabama,» med Alabama.
Blake Shelton er regjerende mannlige vokalist, og han har også blitt nominert i fem kategorier – Entertainer of the Year, Årets Mannlige Vokalist, Årets Album for «All About Tonight», og Årets Single og Årets musikkvideo for «Honey Bee».
Taylor Swift er nominert i følgende kategorier – Entertainer of the Year; Årets kvinnelige vokalist, Årets album for «Speak Now», Årets Musikkvideo og Årets Sang for «Mean», hennes første nominasjon som låtskriver. Swift har altså blitt nominert i fem kategorier, men kan motta et ekstra trofè som produsent av albumet hennes. Swift vant Horizon Award i 2007 og to år senere ble hun kåret til Entertainer of the Year(2009).
Zac Brown Band er nominert i fire kategorier – Vocal Group; Årets Album for «You Get What You Give»; Årets musikalske begivenhet for «As She’s Walking Away» med Alan Jackson, og Årets Single for «Colder Weater».
I «krigen» om å bli kåret til Årets Entertainer er også Keith Urban med.
Keith Urban, som vant trofeet i 2005, er også nominert til Årets Mannlige Vokalist som han har vunnet tre ganger tidligere (2004, 2005 og 2006).
Fire ganger CMA Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney er nominert i tre kategorier inkludert Årets Mannlige Vokalist, Årets Musikalske Begivenhet og Årets Musikkvideo for «You and Tequila» med Grace Potter.
