Sweden’s #1 Country Male Vocalist Hicks (Miqael Persson) has just been confirmed to represent his country at The Global Show in Nashville, USA as part of the World’s largest Country Music Festival, the CMA Country Fest from 3-9 June. Hicks will be appearing alongside other leading artists from around the world on Tuesday 4th June at the Second Fiddle, downtown on the famous Broadway area of Nashville. All the leading USA artists will also be playing in town this week includingTaylor Swift, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Alan Jackson and so many more
Hicks will also be appearing for a couple of events run by Europe’s # 1 Country Music Radio Station CMR Nashville. So far confirmed is their Annual International Party at The Whiskey Bent on Wed 5th June, and on 7th June at The Bridgestone Arena in conjunction with the Navillville Visitors Bureau.
Hicks as a group recently were nominated and won the Independent Music Network Country Music Awards for Favorite Country Group. First time for a Swedish act to win such a prestigious award.
Hicks has recently released two singles to radio over the last year. Mama’s Kitchen was the first, and was critically acclaimed with chart success in Europe, and the USA. A video was also released getting media attention. check it out ;
Most recently he released Hayride, which has taken off and gone top 10 on many charts backed up by a video which was filmed in Stockholm at an incedible low temperature of -16 C.
Hicks writes his own songs, and writes for others, with cuts by Giant, Survivor, Toto, Journey, Little River Band along with many more.
Although from Sweden, Hicks is tipped to be the next big thing in Central Europe and North America. His new European single ‘Bad Call After All’ will be released on 1 June 2013.
Hicks has praise from 100s of DJs and getting ready for the next part of his Journey with his return to Nashville this year as part ot the CMA Fest and representing his homeland Sweden.
